On the 18th of April 2012, my daughter and I went to pay this university a visit to inquire about their courses and all that. This is a full fledged university where they will issue their own degrees. They have some other universities set up around the region. The current temporary campus is located in the city centre. Once the facilities at Nusajaya are completed they will be moving to the new location, tentatively towards end of 2013.
A friendly staff briefed us on the history and the courses they are offering at the university, the estimated fees, facilities available and other relevant information. Its good that the government approved course in Business Management is available currently. Other courses are still awaiting government approval.
Since my daughter has gone through a year of business studies at another college, we were hoping for her to get some exemptions for her first year. We were informed to get some relevant supporting documents from the previous college to be submitted to them for their considerations.
Now it is up to my daughter to decide if she wants to go through this university if she is accepted. She is quite keen on it so I assume it is a go.
Now we are waiting for the previous college to issue my daughter her examination result slip at least to be submitted to Raffles for their considerations for exemptions.
The planned in take is on the June intake.
